This weekend was, as my sister put it, the ultimate stay-cation. Starting with a relaxing night exploring my neighborhood Thursday, to Union Market and watching the Nats score a curly W on Friday night, we then rolled hard Saturday celebrating the 4th in style. Needless to say, every act killed it at RFK for the Foo Fighter’s 20th Anniversary show, but Dave Grohl and crew took the cake.
Have you been to Union Market? Do you like food and cool stuff? Go!
This chandelier is made, no joke, out of water bottles.
The bff and I ate steak sandwiches to catch up, get ready for her birthday and talk about her recent engagement (!!!!!!)
While there, you have to stop in Salt & Sundry. Coolest assortment of home goods!
Yes, I felt a little less weird for taking that wood ladder from the garbage when I saw this one!
What’s engagement talk without a little ice cream? Wedding diet what?
Street art around the market.
We kept dry from the rain, which fortunately stopped in time for…
We got to RFK Saturday in time for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. They were phenomenal, that woman blows my mind! After about an hour break for rain, Gary Clark Jr. rocked it.
And this was what the Foos felt like the whole time. Pure energy.
The night literally ended with a bang. That bottom picture must have been what it felt like when the ‘Skin used to win Super Bowls playing here!
And, we ended the weekend with a trip to Granna’s. Perfect ending!
