I have a love-hate relationship with salads.  Mostly because i typically find them bland, or the ones that are not bland are not particularly good for you, which defeats the purpose!  But I found my favorite salad, if I have one, is spinach, grilled chicken, blue cheese crumbles, and candied pecans.  The sweet/salty taste of candied pecans is unreal.  So, I made my own for salads..and munching.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  For every one cup of pecans, take the egg white of one egg and mix it all up.  It will look like wet pecans.  Then, toss it in a mixture of half a cup of brown sugar, a teaspoon of cinnamon, a dash of paprika and a dash of salt. Mix until your pecans are covered.  Spread on a baking sheet (preferably lined with parchment paper) in one layer, bake 15 minutes, toss around, and then bake another 10 minutes.  Take out.  Let cool. Voila.

Your house will smell heavenly as well…bonus side effect, you’re welcome! Try to be healthy like me and toss a few in a salad, or just munch ’em.
